2018 The set of gold, silver and bronze ‘sand country’ design showing the high tide to the low tide marks in sand. Sand Country' - the soft sand lines which shift with every tide and wave and is symbolic of athletic achievement. As the water moves toward low tide, each wave moves the sand, creating and leaving behind new lines in the sand witnessed by those present. The ribbon is the woven strand of the freshwater reed called 'yungair' and are three reeds woven together to form a pattern which resembles many triangles woven together.Eugaries Sculptures

2019 This woven mat made of the fresh water reed yungair. In the mat making technique, yungair are folded over each other creating a series of elongated triangle shapes. Graduating from pink near the root to the long green stem, yungair is known for both bag and mat making unique to North Stradbroke Island.Dilly Bag Wall Sculpture
2018 This scultpural wall hanging references my Grandmother’s Words ‘dilly bag and mat making as Granny did’ (1974). Its form is a traditional mat making technique using linen with ochre from Goompi - Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island, bound together using the Tawalpin - cotton tree branches to speak of the generational relationships.Assistance
