From the Emerging Mob in Fashion show at Melbourne Fashion Festival 7 March 2024, Delvene is releasing one garment from her collection ‘Under A Full Moon’. This collection features a layered linen jumpsuit that is naturally dyed and handprinted with three ‘eugarie - pippy shell’ patches - all made on Quandamooka Country by Delvene Cockatoo-Collins studio.
Hand printed and dyed on Minjerribah North Stradbroke Island, by Delvene and made on Quandamooka by a small sewing studio. This garment in this collection refers to the spaces where our people have gathered - sharing shellfish and conversations. Under a full moon, is the time when the moonlight hits the midden which then reflects its own light back out to sea like a beacon. Wide kimono like sleeves, deep pockets with a sash.
