Handprinted in studio in Goompi - Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island and made locally on Quandamooka Country, is a limited edition run of the collection 'Tawalpin - Net Making'. The Tawalpin formed the theme for her CIAF 2022 collection.
Tawalpin – Cotton tree is a tree found on Minjerribah North Stradbroke Island that Delvene Cockatoo-Collins uses through her work including during her walking tour. The inner fibres of the tawalpin is used to stitch shells onto garments ands highlight the strength of this tawalpin which is used for twine and net making. The print in this collection features the leaves which are used for multiple purposes including in cooking.
Last orders by Friday 29 July with delivery throughout August and by 30 September, 2022. As all items are handprinted, print variation will occur with each item and look slightly different to the image on the website. It means that each are unique items (and limited to 5 items available in each size)
