'Bungwal nuts off grass ground into flour' was part of a series of writing by Delvene's Grandmother in 1974. It is these words which have inspired this print - to talk about the traditional use of the bungwal fern to make flour.
The bungwal fern is handprinted on lengths fabric by Delvene Cockatoo-Collins. Printed in white, light brown on an oatmeal linen and then stitched by a local seamstress into extra large cushion coves. As the fabric is printed individually, each cushion will be unique
